Page 600 … a Holy Conviction
“I trust that the Holy Spirit of God will do the convicting and correcting in both of our lives. I am so thankful that God’s Spirit is Love.”
That is a fine sentiment, my Friend (though the Holy Spirit is pure & perfect LOVE, and as such cannot “convict” anyone – only convince them), AND YET, even though this statement is certainly well intended, it doesn’t make your prejudicial words against homosexuals any less bigoted, nor your open condemnation of homosexuality any less hypocritical.
Indeed, your statement here actually makes it clear that you are already fully aware that God doesn’t need your help in converting the selfishly sinful to The Way of humble Oneness. And as such, you are obviously already fully aware that there is no need whatsoever for you “correct” the failings of others or convince them to repent. And the Bible makes it quite clear as well that doing so is God’s business and God’s alone!
“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? … You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor’s … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew18:3-4 + John 8:7)
“All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him” ~ Psalms 22:27
“The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast Love. The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.” ~ Psalms 145:8-9
“Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; and to him all of them are alive.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 20:38)
“I do not judge anyone who hears my words and does not keep them; for I came not to judge the world, but to offer it Salvation … And I, once I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 12:47 + John 12:32)
