You then state that, “[Jesus] laid down his life so that sinners like you and I can receive his free and eternal gift”, and yet you refuse to See what that gift actually was (and what it still is to this day)  – namely, the indescribable Bliss & almost overpowering Contentment that comes to everyone who chooses to walk his Way & follow his teachings & obey his commandments, by laying down all fear & setting aside all desire in favor of reaching out to others and sacrificing personal comfort for their betterment – especially when we least wish to do so, and especially for those we deem to be “least deserving” of that Love  … For this was his Way, this was his Truth and this was his Life!
