Page 878 … Who can Understand?

“I can tell you that the great prophet Jeremiah said that this is the exact opposite of what we should do.  Our hearts are wicked and who can understand such a thing without assistance?”

How nice of you to mention Jeremiah, my Friend … I know I have quoted the following very important passage from his scroll to you already a number of times before, and yet I would humbly ask for you to PLEASE READ IT this time …………

“‘The days are surely coming’, says the Lord, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant that they broke, though I was their husband…  But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more.” ~ Jeremiah 31:31-34

You see, my dear Dan, what the prophet Jeremiah knew was the same thing that Jesus knew – namely, that God’s LOVE is perfect (see Matthew 5:48), that His mercy is far greater than you are giving Him credit for (see Luke 6:36 & Matthew 18:21-22), that each person’s journey back to His grace is theirs and theirs alone (see John 13:15-17 & John 13:34-35), and thus that the sins of others are NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS –  and that to attempt to correct or criticize those sins is a sin in & of itself! (see Matthew 7:1-5, Matthew 23:25-26 & John 8:7)
