Page 880 … keeping the Faith in Christ
You then appeal to everyone reading this thread to “hold on to their faith in Jesus”, and I would second that call wholeheartedly – as long as those folks are willing to listen to what Jesus says about following him, and not to you & yours …
Again, let all who wish to do so hear the Word of God:
“If you Love me you will abide by MY commandments … They who hear my commandments and keep them are those who Love me; and those who Love me will be Loved by my Father, and I will Love them and reveal myself to them.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 14:15 + 21)
“A new commandment I give to you: that you Love one another. Just as I have Loved, so you also are to Love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples: if you show Love for one another.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35)
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 6:37-38)
“Do not judge by outward appearances or mere behaviors, but rather judge with impartially merciful discernment.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 7:24 + 8:7-11 & Matthew 7:21-22)
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 18:3-4)
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 6:36)
“Everyone who does not abide in the teaching of Christ, but goes beyond it [like Paul most certainly does], does not have God; amd yet whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” ~ 2 John 1:9
“Whoever says, ‘I abide in him’ must walk just as he walked.” ~ 1 John 2:6
