And then the Wind … (09/21/11)

“And then the Wind”

I sit and seek anything comparable to You …

Weathered faces of wisdom are no match for your calm Truth.

The swaying of the trees no match for the way you dance your every move.

The clear sky, but a foggy reflection of your eyes’ crystalline depth.

The sun, still jealous of your golden hair …

Even the rose’s perfect center fades into nothing next to your smile.

And then there is the wind …

The wind, like you, that caresses me when I am saddened.

The wind, like you, that fills my breath with the Joys of Life.

The wind, like you, that wakens me to the wonders of my moments.

The wind, like you, that whispers your voice to my heart from afar.

And the wind that carries my Love to you wherever you are …

… to caress your cheek,

… to fill your breath with mine,

… to hold you close & give you strength,

… to reawaken your Joy

… to give you Calm.

And so, my Love, know that in every touch of the wind –

— be it soft breeze or ferocious gale,

I am both with & within you

— ever & ever again.
