Fear is the mind-killer … (07/14/11)
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
~ Frank Herbert

What I really like about this quote (and this book in general) is that, when we actually DO what it tells us, we become LOVE in those moments.
Love never has to replace fear … There is never a struggle between the two …
Love simply IS — and when we have the courage to let our fears fall away, Love is all that remains.
It shines forth from us effortlessly. In essence, we are all the “Kwisatz Haderach” …
… we simply have to have the guts to act accordingly!

“Criminologists know that the quickest way to diffuse violence is with surprise. Those who commit violence depend on the predictability of their victims …
[So] look into the eyes of the ones who are hardest for you to like, and see the One you Love …
We can overwhelm the darkness of this world by shining something brighter and more beautiful.” ~ Shane Claiborne
