2019 … A well-sized Stayover
And then, after I had exited the Nagold hospital (where I had received truly wonderful care for a day and a half until my kidney stone finally began to pass) and set back on the road, a wonderful couple very soon thereafter heard about my Walk and its recent challenges and encouraged me to accept their offer of a hermitage they maintained in a nearby town – a place where they said I could more fully recover from my recent physical ordeal and write to my heart’s content until the cold coming winter months had passed and I could start my journey anew. Even though I was more than prepared to keep walking anyway, it was true that I really wasn’t feeling all that well at the time, and so I accepted their gracious offer, and used the seven months of solitude that they provided me to write three of my better – and possibly more important – works (in my personal opinion); all of which are still available for free perusal &/or free download via their respective icons on my website’s Writings page …
“As many of you already know, a short time after leaving the hospital I was approached by a lovely couple who saw my obvious physical distress, asked & heard about my current mission, and offered to let me spend the coming winter months in a tiny, one-person, off-the-grid apartment (essentially a monastery of sorts) — an offer I accepted with heartfelt gratitude, and an offer which then allowed me to spend the following 7 months in almost complete seclusion and write the three books linked in the comment boxes below … 😀 😀 :D” ~ another excerpt from my WHP journal
“The answer to the common question of which way one ought to go traditionally depends on where one wants to get to in the end. Of course, as long as one desires to serve others where he or she already is, then his or her general direction of travel completely ceases to matter.” ~ inspired by Lewis Carroll
