2015 … Another solitudinal Siesta
Later, in the following year (2015), I used my collected vacation days to head the short distance to Unterturkheim (near Stuttgart) to hole up for the first of what would become a handful of solitudinal writer’s retreats – this one in a quiet studio apartment surrounded by vineyard leaves glowing gold and graced by flocks of crows playing Joy-fully on the still-warm autumn air. And this is when & where I began honing what would end up becoming the spiritual treatise eventually titled “Burnishing Bigotry” …
