2008 … Truth relived in Utah
And then it was on to Park City (Utah); to engage yet another “Experiment with Truth” in order to see if the Radical Kindness I had come to know as a Peace Pilgrim would function “in the real world” – while working three jobs (one of them as a daycare attendant for The Canyons Resort – pictured) to pay my expensive rent and while trying to maintain a romantic relationship that was far less than functional. The verdict: selfless Love actually worked just as well – and proved to be actually even more potent – in such difficult moments than it did otherwise. And this is Good News indeed for everyone immersed in the everyday world of obligation and responsibility – namely, that Kindness is truly always an option and is truly always effective whenever it is courageously enlivened …
