1990 … Once more, heading Westward
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in General Studies, I moved to Tacoma (Washington) to “attend” the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University School of Law). And I write “attend” here in quotes because I very quickly figured out that law school was itself essentially a sham, and thereafter did very little actual attending of classes during my subsequent three years there; preferring instead to spend most of my time laughing with my friends, philosophizing about (and occasionally actively searching for) the Meaning of Life, playing basketball in Wright Park & lifting weights at the local YMCA, and sunbathing on the law school parking garage …
“Law school has been described as a place for the accumulation of learning. First-year students bring some in; third-year students take none away … Hence, the learning accumulates.” ~ unknown
