2007 Chicago & Hawaii … (04/06/08)
I remained in Chicago for the majority of 2007, helping out in a variety of ways — as a nanny for two different families, as a house-sitter and a plant caregiver and as a volunteer for a civil law firm’s “innocence project” (working to get wrongfully convicted men released from prison) … In my “spare time”, I finished the 1200 page first draft of Salvation’s Way and shared a number of presentations for a number of different organizations …
Later in the year I ran out of requests for service. As my personal guideline mandated that I remain in Chicago until Called elsewhere, I thought I was going to have to live on the streets of Chicago through the upcoming winter. Typical of my journey, however, just after willingly accepting this fate for the Higher Good, I was asked to return to the Big Island of Hawaii to care for some friends’ two dogs and tend their land — and this I thankfully did for the rest of that year …
