Day 149k: Laughing while on the Lam … (September 25, 2019)

Despite a scornful visage that seems to say otherwise, I actually found it incredibly amusing how The Way kept teasing me and poking fun at my ego’s hubris – from the first day of the Walk to this, its very last. Here, I had just been told a few minutes prior that I needn’t walk far until I came to “Brock Way,” the roadway I needed to take to make my way smoothly into Collegedale, and thereafter – ultimately – Chattanooga. And yet what should I find as I walked on thereafter? An intersection, no less, of Brock Road and Brock Lane instead! 😀 😀 😀

You aren’t truly Strong until you can choose to see the funny side of any trial or tragedy … Indeed, it is the man who can laugh at himself who is truly blessed; for one, because he will never lack for amusement … Yes, the Wise One knows that even when beaten he or she can steal a subtle victory by laughing at said defeat … And so it is that though I know not all that may be coming my way, I know that I will go to it all laughing nonetheless … For it is only when ‘I’ & ‘we’ are in conflict that the Road to Peace gets arduous & bumpy.~ inspired by Ken Kesey, James C.
