Day 147b: The true Joy of Living … (September 23, 2019)
“The true joy in life is being used for a purpose recognized by your Soul as a mighty one; choosing to be a potent Force for Good, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining incessantly when the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the entire sentient community, and as long as I live on it is my privilege to do for the same whatever I can. Indeed let me be thoroughly used up when I die, for the more devoutly I serve the more I live. I rejoice in life to love – which is to rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no mere brief candle for me. Instead it is a splendid torch which I have got hold of for but this brief collection of moments, and I want nothing more but to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.” ~ via George Bernard Shaw
