Day 141c: Onto the next Alternative … (September 17, 2019)
Highway 11 was surprisingly busy on this particular morning, and its super-thin shoulders made for some very uncomfortable (and super-slow-going) walking indeed, so one can rest assured that I was overly relieved to soon see a pedestrian pathway – one that seemed to flow parallel to the roadway – down and to my right. I scrambled down to the same straight away, and proceeded to walk easily and joyfully onward thereafter …
“There is stability in walking the uncertain path, first & foremost because we never allow ourselves to be misled by what we think we know … Humility comes when we are tested on the areas of our strength – for most pilgrims, walking itself. Excellence, on the other hand, comes when we are tested on the areas of our weakness – for myself, ever needing to know the best or better path. Keep walking to be humble; willingly & even joyfully upon whatever road presents itself to know a greater Greatness.” ~ inspired by A.J. Darkholme, & Lucas Shallua
