Day 140p: Giving my next Reception … (September 16, 2019)

And then it was here that I came upon my Walk’s first significant monetary find* – 51 cents that I left there by the roadside; monies that I would have left behind for those less fortunate even if their sum had been far greater …

*Yes, it’s true that one anonymous individual had secretly slipped a 10 Euro bill into my smock back in Switzerland – a 10 Euro bill that I had immediately left behind as well – and yet this 51 cents was the first money of note that I myself had found along The Way.

Whether its the demons or the saints; the ghouls or the paladins or anyone else in between, you’re gonna have to serve somebody in this life. Either that, or you’re nothing more than a dead man walking … So marvel at the beauty of all life and savor the power and possibilities of your Soul’s scintillating imagination. In your rarer, priceless moments, remember to dance and care and hug and know. See ever again that life is good even when it’s bad, beautiful even when it’s ugly. Know that – as a human – it will never be easy to maintain this higher perspective. And yet know that – as a human – the same is in every instant available … Until you are committed to Love, there will be hesitancy, and the chance to draw back, and thus no Love at all. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation and service, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and foils even the most splendid plans. And that truth is this: that the moment one wholeheartedly commits oneself, the providence of the Cosmos moves as well. A whole stream of fortuitous events issue from that one selfless decision, all of them in one way or another raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and assistances, the weight & scope of which no man could have dreamed would have ever come his way. And so it is that Goethe’s couplet rings as true to today as the moment it was first penned: Boldness contains great magic within it. So whatever you can do for others, or even dream you can do for the Universe, set forth and begin it today!” ~ inspired by Bob Dylan, Maria Nhambu & William H. Murray
