Day 137c: Merging with The ONE … (September 13, 2019)
“A good ruler has to master his world’s language – not only the language espoused by words or gestures, but also the greater and all-encompassing language of the rocks and the plants and all one’s sentient cousins. This is the language of Oneness. It isn’t a language one can hear with only one’s ears. It is what the Wise Ones call the Mystery of Life – or the Source – or the ONE – or the Soul. It is a language founded upon the simple yet all-powerful truth that life is a reality to be experienced much more than it is a problem to solve or a riddle to be unraveled or a challenge to be championed. It is a language that understands that a process cannot be understood by enslaving it or dissecting it or stopping it or binding it. It knows that real understanding must move with the flow of the process, must join it and dance with it, fully and willingly and joyfully … It knows that Peace is life; that Love is life; that Kindness is life. It knows that no river holds a grudge against a rock in its path, that no leaf refuses to blow in the breeze, and that no plant ever denies either water or sunshine. We, as sentient beings, have been given the gift of self-awareness, and yet this gift quickly turns to self-destruction if we do not learn to harness it appropriately. We must learn to turn our minds towards the peace and love and opportunities for caring that we are flowing within any given moment, and we must choose to wholeheartedly merge with the same.
