Day 132f: Retreating into the Road … (September 08, 2019)

Love and travel are both powerful spurs to change, and when lived together, potently transformative … For truth I look to the sky and the earth, to the night and the light, to the heat and the cold, to the rain and the drought. These are my guides and demigods. And yet the road, the road is my mistress – my best friend – my mother & father & brother & soulmate. Both winding and open, both harsh and nurturing, the road ever serenades me with love – and in equal measure dares me with my demise.” ~ inspired by Bee Wilson & Foster Kinn

Know that I might well disappear leaving behind no worldly possessions — just a few old socks and hastily scribbled notes, and my collection of memes & short films for all of you to enjoy, and of course my little rag and bone sanctuary whose motto is still ‘Be recklessly kind to all strangers, for they are all angels in disguise.’ I might well disappear completely without a single trace, my friends, and yet for all you know I might be walking amongst you still, to this very day, on my vagabond journey around this glorious life.” ~ inspired by George Whitman
