Day 127a: And then The Way rolled on & on … (September 03, 2019)
“Work – good, honest work, whether it’s working with your hands to create an artwork, or raw manual labor, can indeed bring forth a faint sense of Divinity at play. And yet we are here to do more than merely experience a light glimpse of the Divine. We are here to become a fully embodiment of that Godhead. And so we must do more than merely work – we must choose to serve instead. We must strive and sweat and be stalwart in our moving, true, and yet we must ever do so for the betterment of the whole over our mere tribe; of the other over our mere self. And the prerequisite to making our efforts godly is that whatever our work happens to be, it must be done humbly and it must be done ardently and it must be done courageously and it must – ever ever & ever again – be done caringly. This is the only way our labor can harmonize with the greater flow of the Divine; this is the only way we can align the inclinations of our Soul with the flow and drive of the Universe … In truth our lives can be compared to beautiful streams, gentle rivers which are destined to flow steadfastly, and grow continually in their majesty until they cannot help but create astoundingly wonderful features such as meandering rivulets and age-old canyons and cascading waterfalls; and exp[and I that majesty all while continuously giving nourishment – nay, giving life its very self – to all those near its path.” ~ inspired by Kamand Kojouri & Insham Meahjohn
