Day 121c: Literally walking for PEACE … (August 28, 2019)
Onward I flowed into the ever-expanding morn, eventually merging with Old Court Road, where I pass the Hunt’s Memorial United Methodist Church and its main signage that encouraged all passersby to “Pray is forward everyday!” (No, my Paulinist friends. Jesus would have us Do/Love it forward in every way!) … Shortly thereafter I was stopped by a passing driver who asked “Are you literally walking for Peace?!?” Well yes I am, my Good Man. Yes I Am in-deed!
“We are all equally wondrous instruments of the Divine, and we are all equally unique, created each as individuated chords of music so that none of us would ever be stuck playing the same song. So remember to be your music, and keep changing the keys, tones, pitch, and volume of each of the songs of gentle service you play along the symphony of your life. Start now and never stop. Make your book of life a musical and have fun leaving behind a legacy of harmony and steadfastness. Never allow anyone else to be the composer of your destiny. Take control of your intentions, and never allow limitations implanted by others or society as a whole to take hold. Never let anyone tell you how to Care, how your music is supposed to sound — much less how your Book of Living is to be written … If you chase anything in life chase the things that get you excited about interacting with Life. Chase the things that give you hope, happiness and a glimpse of a better life for all your sentient brothers & sisters, not merely a few of the same. Chase the things that make you want to be a better person. Chase the things that inspire you to create peace and bring joy. Chase the things that reinforce in your soul that you can & do make a difference.” ~ inspired by Suzy Kassem & Shannon Alder
