Day 092n: Victory in Villadangos … (July 15, 2019)
And then it was that I entered the town of Villadangos and realized that I had less than 200 miles to go before Santiago – that I had already come soooo far, and that I was already indeed soooo near, AND that I was even now fully living Love & Kindness in this very Here&Now; a place just as worthy as any other destination; a time just as sacred as any day deemed holy.
“The great mission of our day is not fulfilled by conquering the sea or exploring space or curing disease or crushing tyranny. No, the true Grand Quest which calls to the Hero within each one of us is the summons to become fully alive – to reject greed in favor of generosity; to reject comfort in favor of self-sacrifice; to reject popularity in favor of championing justice; to reject callousness in favor of being kind; to reject loathing in favor of forgiveness; to reject fear in favor of love. It is by answering this greater Calling that we transcend our selves, and as such it is by fulfilling this great Summons that we thereby transform the world.” ~ inspired by Jacob Nordby
