“I have said these things to you that my Joy might be in you, and that your Joy would be complete.” ~ Jesus (John 15:11)
The base-line for interpreting any of Jesus’ teachings: does the interpretation bring immediate Joy (the gestalt of the Fruits of the Spirit). If it doesn’t when applied to any situation (look to the “fruits of the tree”), go back and try again!
