Day 075m: Arriving with Amour … (June 28, 2019)
I walked onward and upward that afternoon, finally arriving in the town of Aroue, where I greeted Jean Marc (who had arrived before me and already checked me in) with a hug, enjoyed a lovely warm shower, and then hung out in the hostel garden and powerfully witnessed my Walk and its Way of Peace to Mick from England (who admitted to having been wondering about me and my Mission for several days prior) … The lovely day then concluded with a delicious meal that I cooked for Jean Marc & myself, followed by a sincerely warm pilgrims’ gathering where jokes and tales from the Road were accompanied by laughter and white wine.

“Worry and greed are the secret weapons set upon us by the dark forces of the world – forces that lurk in the shapes of fear, uncertainty, desire, and loss. We pilgrims of peace, on the other hand, have our own not-so-secret weapons against these same incorporeal fiends – and they are Laughter and Love … and so it is that we continually intend to laugh as much as we breathe and to Love as long as we live.” ~ via Vera Nazarian & Andrea Levy
