Day 073l: An ever-present Magnificence … (June 26, 2019)

The weather was gloriously overcast and the path was delightfully soft underfoot on this day, and I eventually made it in good spirits to the Church of Saint Quittere in Uzan, where paused for awhile – to announce my still-strong gratitude for The Way, to reaffirm my resolve to continue along its Meaning-thick lengths, and to light a candle of remembrance for those for whom I saunter (humanity in general, yes, and yet also specifically Antoine and Daniel and the handful of additional loved ones for whom I was willingly carrying the banner of Divine Love) …

The world is so exquisite – constantly imbued with so much love and so many opportunities to serve & care – that there is truly no reason to distract or deceive ourselves with pretty fables for which there is little to no concrete verification. Far better it seems to me, in our abject vulnerability, is to boldly look death in the eye and simply be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides – the brief but magnificent opportunity to Love.” ~ inspired by Carl Sagan
