Day 072s: Yet another kindred Soul … (June 25, 2019)

And so it was that this day too came to a gentle end – so it was that I left the church behind and checked in to the local hostel (via Stephane’s promised generosity), and so it was that I once again reveled in a hot shower (after allowing all of my fellow pilgrims to shower first, of course), so it was that I washed my clothes mindfully by hand and put them out to dry in the rays of the waning Sun, so it was that I enjoyed a vegan version of the local pilgrim’s meal, and so it was that I sat later in the hostel’s lush garden and engaged in one of the more heartfelt and profoundly Meaning-full conversations of my entire pilgrimage – with Stephane – about the deeper meanings of The Way of Jesus Christ, about how Jesus’ teachings indeed directly contradict those of his “fauxpostle” Paul (upon whose ramblings the modern-day, hyper-condemnatory Christian church has been built), about the “Good News” being the awesome power encapsulated within every self-sacrificial choice, about how “the complicated becomes simple” in direct proportion to how much Love one infuses into the same …
