Day 072g: Peace from a Pilgrims’ Pit-stop … (June 25, 2019)
I was flowing smoothly through the day – covering large swathes of ground with seemingly no effort at all, when I came across a cute little pilgrims’ rest-stop being in-JOYed by Andre, Marie Claude, Jean, and Veronique (four of my compatriots from last night’s Aire sur Adour hostel). I chat amiably with them for a few minutes and then Jean offers me a small bag of nuts & dried fruit (a priceless gift for any mendicant wayfarer, with only avocados &/or vegan chocolate being more treasured by yours truly) for the road …
