Day 071k: The Truth of Life’s Loving Way … (June 24, 2019)
I eventually thereafter made it through the poplar-lined promenade on the outskirts of Nogaro (the last stop for the duct tape that had been so devoutly hanging on to my shoes for so many miles before) and into the city proper, where I (as usual) paused to rest in Gratitude within the cool confines of the local church – giving thanks for The Truth of the Way of selfless Kindness; the Truth for which I continue to walk through this gloriously Grace-filled Life* …
“Offering others sanctuary is a revolutionary act. It expresses pure Love, when others offer scorn or indifference or hate. It recognizes a common humanity (and in higher expressions, a common sentience), when others deny or even seek to debase the same. Sanctuary says ‘we’ instead of ‘I’. It is the highest form of belonging – the true cornerstone of community.” ~ inspired by Diane Kalen-Sukra
*John 14:6 is one of the most frequently misinterpreted (and most highly manipulated) verses in the Bible’s New Testament – more often than not “dumbed down” by pastors who use it to preach a gospel of condemnation & conversion, instead of offering its just as readily available and indeed far greater Meaning – namely: Jesus’ valiant summons for us all to humbly emulate his Way of selfless LOVE.
