Day 068x: An homage to all things Holy … (June 21, 2019)

There was one particular hospitalera (I don’t think I ever caught her name) who was especially appreciative of my Walk and my personal devotion thereto, and she ended up inviting me down into the lower enclaves of the hostel, where I was allowed to send a few prayers of humble gratitude skyward from the nuns’ own private chapel. Thankful for having had the opportunity to Walk – thankful for having chosen the courage to Walk – thankful for having been assisted by so many serendipitous happenstances (&/or so many timely “angels”) during the Walk – thankful for the opportunity to choose again & again & again to keep Walking … I reflect my True Self whenever I transcend fear &/or pain for the betterment of others; I become my True Self whenever I remain grateful during the same.

Chasing a particular goal or a particular status or a particular dream or even a particular person doesn’t give you real value or build real integrity within you. No, we can only remember & re-enliven our true value by chasing a higher morality and practicing a higher dignity.” ~ inspired by Shannon L. Alder
