Day 067c: Summoning one’s Soulmates … (June 20, 2019)
I enjoyed several more breakfasts that morning; sitting down and breaking bread anew each time another group of pilgrims awoke and began prepping for their next day’s next adventure. Frederic had already offered to have me stay an extra day at the hostel – ostensibly to be able to meet back up with my dear friends Mike & Cindy (who as it turns out were a few kilometers behind me on The Way, a fact I had discovered the night before when they had quite miraculously telephoned Le Par Chemin to check up on me!), though possibly to simply allow our perfectly harmonious bond to linger awhile longer. It was Frederic’s idea post-breakfast to have me paint a sign for Mike & Cindy and place it alongside the route outside the hostel — with the thought that they might see the same and stop in to reunite our journeys, even if but for another afternoon …
