Thumping the real Thugs … (03/27/2020)
On March 27, 2020, the U.S. Congress passed the CARES Act — the single largest redistribution of wealth from the lower class to the upper class in the history of human “civilization.” Interestingly enough, despite their repeated claims of being the party of the working class and the champions of the poor, not a single Democratic member of either the House or the Senate voted against the bill* …
*The Senate passed it unanimously (that’s right — even Bernie Sanders voted for the rich to get MUCH richer at the expense of the poor), and the public recording of the House’s voice vote on the bill proves that only two House members opposed the legislation — both of them clearly male, and both of them almost certainly Republican (with one of them definitively being Republican Rep. Massie from Kentucky, a man who vehemently opposed both the bill and its deciding voice vote from the start)
