Day 59g: Knowing the Flow … (06/12/2019)
“You’ve heard poets talk about their words flowing from their minds, and painters getting on a roll and having their masterpieces flowing through their hands. And you all have seen musicians when they are in a similar state; when their the guitar, or their piano, or whatever other instrument they are playing seems to become a part of their body; when their ego is completely gone and they become a vessel through which the music simply flows. And even pilgrims can know the same effortlessness –m when their bodies move along seemingly without effort; when they can traverse seemingly impossible distances through seemingly untraversable conditions with apparent ease. This is what it means to be “in the flow,” and so fluid too is life for the one who chooses to be make his or her life about the other — for the one who chooses to be kind when least inclined.” ~ inspired by Chase Jarvis
