Day 57l: Soothed at the Good Font … (06/10/2019)
The first town I reached while trying to find my way back to The Way was the little village of Bonnefon — a village aptly named “The Good Fountain”, for it was a village where the church in which I paused provided quite a soothing solace indeed, as I rested for awhile under the compassionately watchful gaze of St. Roch,* the patron saint of dogs and invalids and all those falsely accused … 🙂

*Saint Roch was a 14th century Catholic saint who, after the death of his wealthy parents in his 20th year, distributed all his worldly goods among the poor and set out as a mendicant pilgrim for Rome.
