Day 50m: To be led again by Children … (06/03/2019)

I made it thereafter to the local tourist information center, told them of my quest, and was given the address of Le Puy’s donativo pilgrims hostel — along with a set of “It’s quite easy to find” directions thereto. Of course, as one can well imagine, navigating Le Puy’s medievally winding and often completely unlabeled roadways proved to be too great a challenge for your truly, and I soon resorted to asking local residents for help. Very soon after I started doing so, Lola & Carla (pictured below) pulled out their smart phones, identified the best route to the hostel, and then — possibly due to somewhat pity-full (and actually quite appropriate) feelings of doubt related to my ability to find my way there alone — walked with me almost hand in hand all the way to the hostel’s front gate … :O 😀

“Ever remember: Joy is a choice — a choice that comes from other choices; namely those of Kindness and Generosity and Respect and Honor. In deed, the tender loving care of other human beings will never become obsolete. For it is people far more than status or things that have to be restored and renewed and revived and reclaimed and redeemed — and redeemed — and redeemed again … Thirdly, remember that if you ever need a helping hand, you will ever find one at the end of your own arm … Finally, remember that whatever choice you make makes you. So remember to choose wisely.” ~ inspired by Roy Bennett & Sam Levenson
