Day 49g: To walk the paths less-traveled … (06/02/2019)

Similarly to life during its harder times, the rougher patches of any pilgrimage can often be more smoothly traversed by simply being willing to leave the main road and walk paths less-traveled … 😉

“The only life worth living is the adventurous one. And of such a life the dominant characteristic is by its blatancy of boldness. Indeed, such a life is ever unafraid of what other people think about a chosen route, and it refuses to adapt either its pace or its objectives to the pace and objectives of any naysaying neighbors. The adventurous life thinks its own thoughts, it reads its own books, it espouses its own values, and it is governed by its own conscience. The herd may graze nearby on grasses professed greener, and yet he who lives the adventurous life — the meaningful life, the purposeful life, and thereby the peaceful life — will remain bold when he finds himself unsure, and unafraid when he finds himself alone.” ~ inspired by Raymond Fosdick
