Day 46v: To truly cast one’s Vote … (05/30/2019)

I was feeling on top of the world (after being treated like true royalty so recently back in Burdignes), and as such it was only fitting that my newfound hubris was met with a just-as-devout skepticism immediately thereafter; first & foremost in the form of the neighboring farmer who, after being hailed and asked if I could be given a glass of water to drink upon my quest, quite dismissively scowled at me and even snorted while gruffly & silently pointing to the local wayside well, before unwittingly turning his back on his new king and continuing with his (admittedly just as important) work … πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
