Day 46b: A much earlier Arrival … (05/30/2019)

Even the ants were still sleeping when I set forth this morning, and I rolled into the town of Bessey with the church still locked up tight and most of the local residents not yet out & about. It remains true to this day that resting within the peaceful confines of the Catholic churches I encountered along the way was almost always deeply refreshing (for mind & body alike), and yet there remains something to be said as well for walking through any size city at a time (mostly early mornings) when most of its inhabitants were nowhere to be seen. Solitude nestled within the latent hum of imminent bustling — a very different, and somehow even more invigorating, kind of Peace … 🙂

“Always remember that the One who resides within you is far greater than the ones who live in the world.” ~ unknown (1 John 4:4)
