Day 45h: To smoothly skirt the Danger … (05/29/2019)
The Way took me thereafter through the village of St. Alban du Rhone and then along a treacherously narrow pathway that ran tightly alongside a roadway & then a long bridge — both built well enough to handle their prevalent population of speeding cars, and yet neither built very well at all to safely service their just as frequent use by pilgrims … 🙁
“Long before evening came I knew that what I was seeking to discover was a truth I’d always known — namely, that all courage was nothing more than a form of authentic constancy. That it was always himself that the coward abandoned first, that after this, all other betrayals came all too easily, and that it was in boldly denying the same — that it was only in remaining true to the summons of one’s Soul — that life could become meaningful & real.” ~ inspired by Cormac McCarthy
