Day 43l: At the end of every Tunnel … (05/27/2019)

The small city of Cote de St. Andre proved to be a bit tricky to navigate — what with all of its hidden stairwells (which oddly-yet-fondly reminded me of adventures long-since past in the Moroccan city of Tangiers) and winding garden thoroughfares and crowded city courtyards — and yet in the end Kindness was found anew, as Kindness always is, in the form of Mariana’s gracious offer of a place to rest in her quite busy restaurant, a bowl of peanuts provided without even a hint of asking for the same, and to this day the most delicious water I have ever imbibed … 🙂

“The Way can only be smoothly traversed by realizing that it has no length or vector at all; that its beginning is actually our ego’s end, and that its destination is actually our life’s true commencement, not its assumed completion. Indeed, it is only after letting go all our desires for a ‘timely arrival’ or a ‘better outcome’ that we can fully utilize our life’s trials & torments to make life truly Meaning-full — first & foremost by opening ourselves to others, and thereby allowing them to bring us the very peace that those difficulties are so avidly denying.” ~ anonymous
