Day 43i: A showering of LOVE … (05/27/2019)
Today proved to be yet another day of almost perfect walking-weather, and I flowed smoothly through the village of La Frette, walked under a gentle shower of chestnut tree blossoms (being rained down upon me by a most enthusiastic grist of pollen-seeking honeybees), and then ambled into the town of St. Hilaire de la Cote, where the church itself was closed and yet Denis & Marie Christine’s next-door home (like their hearts upon meeting and their arms upon saying farewell) was opened wide … 😀
“A quiet secluded life in the country, with the regular possibility of being useful to any nearby — especially those unaccustomed to the same; then work which one can reasonably expect to bring beauty or be meaningful; then rest in nature, immersion in music, and love for one’s neighbor — such is my idea of true Happiness” ~ inspired by Leo Tolstoy
