Day 40c: Opening UP wider … (05/24/2019)

I walked a loooooooong walk up The Way’s tight, rocky path this morning, and despite aching feet and a surprisingly intense level of overall fatigue I eventually reached the lovely little chapel of Notre Dame de la Montagne — a mountaintop sanctuary nestled into a copse of evergreen tree; the beauty of which being matched only by the gentle allure of the hand-carved “Third Eye Mary” statue on its altar within … 🙂

“For those who use the Third Eye to ‘see’ themselves, life remains a useless passion, a sometimes exciting — sometimes overwhelming journey of a mere mammal in survival mode. And yet for those who choose otherwise – for those who choose to use their greater Awareness to truly SEE their innate and deeply intimate interconnection with others, every day becomes a miracle; a blessing still yet mostly unexplored. And the more we immerse ourselves in that all-penetrating light, the less we feel the darkness. Indeed, there is so more to life than nothingness — or cynicism — or nihilism — or selfishness or glorious isolation. Indeed, it is not at all necessary to be selfish. Indeed it is ever available to live your life through your acts much more immortal instead; selfless deeds of kindness and generosity that ingrain your legacy onto humanity. So transcend your fears and follow yourself into the expanse of Love, instead of letting yourself get eaten up by the entropy of fear or the decay of ownership. True freedom comes to those who allow their deepest gentleness to rise to the fore. So be soft with others and leave a lasting positive impression on everyone you meet” ~ inspired by Mohadesa Najumi
