Day 39i: Finding rest among the wealthy … (05/23/20190
I enter the outskirts of the small town of Jongieax and am immediately impressed by the amazing regality of the Chateau de la Mar — a beautiful residence that has been transformed into a very-high-end B&B … Its gates are open and I enter the deserted main courtyard without hesitation, looking around for someone with whom to speak (and possibly obtain a glass of water to drink). It doesn’t take long for me to notice the place’s own private chapel — a tiny sanctuary that happens to be unlocked, and a tiny chapel into which I tread and in which I take a short-yet-peaceful break from the glaring heat of The Road … 😀
