Day 37e: To become the Noble Warrior … (05/21/2019)
“We took the path that others feared, for it was only we who chose to witness the glimmering light at its tunnel’s end. And as we set forth, they warned us — about the fierce monsters we would encounter and the long odds that we would meet. And they laughed when they heard reports of the scars we received while fighting the dragons along the way. And yet, when we finally returned from our quest — when we came back out of that tunnel, holding the sword that they had always craved tightly in our hand, bleeding lightly while the sun shone brightly upon our smiling face, we became the sum of the very tales they had always wanted to hear told.
