Day 36k: The death in every Now … (05/20/2019)

Walking up, Up, UP into and through the village of Contamine-Sarzin went surprisingly well, and yet stumble-sliding down, Down DOWN thereafter — on an extremely difficult section of the Path that seemed to have no end — proved to be far less than fantastic … :O 😉

“It is a simple truth that death can come at any moment. Indeed, you could die this very afternoon – or tomorrow morning – or maybe the day after that. You could die on your way to work; you could die in your sleep. Most of us try to avoid the sense that death can come at any time, but its timing is unknown to us. Can we live each day as if it were our last? Can we speak with and act towards one another as if we would never meet them again? Can we serve humanity as if this one moment is the last and only chance we have left to do so?” ~ inspired by Joan Halifax
