Day 34g: Unhiding the Holy … (05/18/2019)

Taken as a whole, my day (& night) in Geneva was in truth the most emotionally taxing one I endured during the entire Walk, and yet there was indeed a Great Light that shone forth from its overlaying sheen of drab materialism; a Light that shone forth from the handful of Kind men & women who offered me sustenance of one form or another while I hobbled through town while vainly searching for refuge — none more so than Eli & Lioc, co-owners of a cute bistro called Saveurs d’Ici (loose translation: “The Flavors of Here”), who raptly listened to the tale of my Walk and then without hesitation generously offered me effusions of respect, a bottle of water, some vegan pate, and a loaf of fresh bread … 😀
