Day 32b: Smoothly into my next misty Morn … (05/16/2019)
“I don’t think people can ever truly know who they truly are. So we all have to be humble enough to simply live with the ultimate mysterious question: Who am I? We will ever be mysteries unto ourselves, and as such our calling is not to one day come to ‘know ourselves,’ but rather to fully immerse ourselves in the time we have been given. I am someone who is walking this sacred pilgrimage called life, and I am choosing to walk it consciously & purposefully from this present moment to the day that I’m going to die. And this is something that none of us can ultimately avoid, that — accept it or not — we are all going to die. So with this most critical fact in mind, all we have to do is strive to fully honor the life we have been given … And so I have chosen to be a pilgrim; a pilgrim who is not only constantly amazed by his journey — not only humble enough to learn and unlearn and re-learn every single day he has been given, but — far far far more importantly — a pilgrim who chooses each and every day to use the knowledge he has accumulated — to use it for Good; to use it for Peace; to use it for the betterment of others much more than for the mere improvement of my own ease or well-being … This is the pilgrim I have chosen to be, and this is how I choose to honor the life I have been given.” ~ inspired by Paulo Coehlo
