Day 31j: A supra-religious Refuge … (05/15/2019)

After sitting awhile in joyful peace on the church’s parsonage stoop, fully immersed in a fountain of Gratitude rising up from within, I decided to head back into the sanctuary itself — to sit there awhile and decide whether to walk onward to town “next” or look elsewhere for a place to rest my head that night. And yet it didn’t take long for a third alternative to gracefully present itself — a third alternative that presented itself in the form of Father Jean; a kind man who came into the church, heard about my Walk, and immediately offered me both a matted floorspace in the church’s youth room upon which to lay my weary body and a wonderful smattering of vegan foodstuffs with which to at least partially fill my empty stomach … 😀

“No pilgrimage is holier than Compassion,
no gospel is truer than Kindness,
and no offering is grander than Love.”
