Day 30d: Sanctifying life’s Sanctuaries … (05/14/2019)

I’m not at all what folks would call a “religious person.” Indeed, I am actually avidly opposed to all forms of organized religion; believing them to be obstacles to intra-spiritual awareness and hindrances to inter-communal harmony (with discussions about the reasoning underlying these opinions being better left for another day) … That having been said, I am just as devoutly a proponent of humility; just as fervent a supporter of others’ rights to believe whatever they wish to believe — as long as those convictions do not cause others harm or disadvantage. And so it was — indeed, quite regularly on my Walk — that I entered St. Sulpice’s Church of Eclubens across the street. And so it was that I did so humbly and respectfully; thankfully absorbing the coolness seeping up from its ancient stone floors, and gratefully reveling in the quiet solace emanating from its age-worn walls … 🙂

“And so you will have to make up for the relative smallness of your size with a bold & selfless devotion to Love; for it is not your life itself that matters — neither its length nor its comforts, but rather the courage, the gentleness, and the determination you bring to your Caring that does.” ~ inspired by Muhammad Ali Jinnah
