Day 29f: Getting the Better View … (05/13/2019)

The walk is pretty painful and rather slow-flowing today as I finally make it to the top of the small mountain ridge overlooking the city of Lausanne. I amble through a lovely park and stop in at the Lac Sauvabellin café, where a sparkling carafe of delicious water is offered by the friendly wait-staff there. I hobble onward thereafter and soon see a large observation tower in the distance. The “rule” I have established up to this point states that all such opportunities encountered upon The Way must be fully engaged, and I find myself “praying” out loud that this particular pinnacle would prove to be off my beaten path. No such fortune, of course, as my route takes me right up to its base, and I shrug my shoulders and smile anyway while entering its main gate and proceeding to slooooooowly climb its 151 spiraling steps … :O

I reach the top not significantly worse for wear, and am quite thankful to have undertaken the task. After all, I am not walking this pilgrimage for my own personal comfort or “success”, but rather am doing so for the benefit of others — in this case offering you all the same glorious view from above that was offered me that day … 🙂

“Love nourishes the Divine because the Divine IS Love. We must remember as well that the Universe of which we are an indelible part is ever in motion, ever pulsing, ever throbbing, ever changing; its multitude of parts ever coming into contact with each another; ever interacting with one another, and ever evolving as a result … As such, the only way to truly rediscover your True Self – or the Infinite Oneness, or the Divine that many call God — is to Love others actively, selflessly, & even recklessly.” ~ anonymous

P.S. Feel free to enJOY the View … 😉
