Day 27a: Life, ever Beauty-full … (05/11/2019)

It was raining pretty steadily on this particular morning when I woke and Marie Jose had to leave early to run some errands, and yet she told me to stay as long as I wished in her peaceful home to wait out the storm ( 🙂 ) … It didn’t take long for the showers to subside and I headed out towards the city of Moudon, surprised at first by the amount of shooting pain I was still experiencing with every step, and yet also extremely thankful — for the several kilometers of smooth bike-path that was given me to tread along the Broye River, as well as for the serene beauty of the river itself. The rains began to fall harder once more just as I pulled under a large multi-road underpass that served as a fantastically well-timed shelter from the downpour. I sat there for more than awhile while the raindrops pelted the pathway on either side of my refuge, pondering the graffiti that had been roughly scrawled directly in front of me many days previous ………

“Isn’t life beautiful?”

Yes it is … It most certainly is indeed … 😀

“Pilgrimage teaches what Life itself ever echoes — first & foremost, that when your tempo is intentionally relaxed and fluid (i.e. when you choose to accept all that is and simply try, without striving, to do the best you can to enhance the immediate harmony thereof), then every place you are becomes pristine and meaningful and sacred … Pilgrimage, like Love, has no desire but to full-fill itself; to melt into each of its moments; to become as a running brook that sings its song into the night; to wake at each dawning with a fully winged heart and give humble thanks for another day in which to Care and serve and Love.” ~ inspired by Kahlil Gibran
