Day 17a: Onward through the Fog … (05/01/2019)
Up early after a surprisingly restful sleep on the cold, hard floor of the lodging that was provided the night before (a trailer-turned-playroom located behind a neighboring farmstead) and head slowly but surely onward through the crisp, foggy morn. Notice as I do so that the massive swelling in my ankles had dissipated during the night, only to have been replaced by a step-by-step stabbing soreness in my obviously over-exerted left shin. I limp onward regardless, of course, remembering while I do so that in pilgrimage — just as in Life & just as in LOVE — the Journey becomes successful not while waiting for the Way to clear, but rather while walking boldly through any & all times of mist and haze and fog … 😉
