Day 15a: LOVE lives between Arrival & Departure … (04/29/2019)
As if the warm kindness shown to me by Michi & Urs and the warm shelter given to me by Bernd weren’t more than enough, the former dropped by late that same night to bring me a vegan gift basket (having been mildly disconcerted that no vegan alternatives were available for me in the bar the evening before) and the latter prepared a breakfast-to-go-bag for me and hung it on the front door for me to find and enjoy the next morning … 😀
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late — or, in my case, too early — to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, and you can change or stay the same in any instance or moment. In truth there are no rules to this thing called Life, and we can always make either the best or the worst of it. So I hope you make the best of it. I hope you embrace the things that startle you and feel the things you’ve until now shied away from feeling. I hope you humbly listen to people with a different point of view and have the guts to care for them anyway. I hope you choose to live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not doing so, I hope you have the courage to start all over again … Because that’s what life will do — over & over & over again. When we least expect it, it ever again sets before us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change. And in these moments there is no point in saying that we are not yet ready or pretending that nothing has happened at all. The challenge will not wait, and life will never look back. A single instant is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny. So get out there and live accordingly. Get out there and live your life.” ~ inspired by Eric Roth & Paulo Coelho
